1966 Shelby GT 350

3 Variants
In the early '60s, Ford asked legendary race car driver and designer Carroll Shelby to work on the Mustang, developing a high-performing competitor of the Corvette. By 1966, the Shelby GT 350 was perfected with boosted horsepower courtesy of the addition of a Paxon supercharger.
The 1966 Shelby GT 350 joined the 1:43 scale Hot Wheels American Classics line from HWC. The Shelby GT 350 — in the grand style of HWC cars — features a newly retooled full-metal chassis and Spectraflame finish. The body is dark blue with classic white racing stripes up the middle and authentic side stripes. The Shelby GT 350 also features an opening hood and two-piece Real Riders wheels with Goodyear tampo. Based on the "Gran Toros" line of the early ‘70s, Hot Wheels American Classics cars include special platform packaging fashioned after that of the original "Gran Toros" models — makes a great display case!
