The Audi R8 is a supercar directly derived from the Lamborghini Gallardo. The name R8 had already been used by Audi for a car designed for endurance races, winner of five editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. To celebrate these victories Audi produced the R8 (in coupe and spyder body styles) as flagship model. The car over the years has been presented with several engines and always with the "quattro" four-wheel drive system.
