Ira Gilford's design was a wrap around windshield, with the cab being over the front axle. This concept was from the vans of era. The Billboard Truck is a modified version of the Tow Truck; the Tow Truck name still appears on the base. There is a switch on the back to turn on and off the LED-illuminated billboard sign.
This version was issued for the 8th Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals in Chicago, IL on April 23-27, 2008. Finished in Spectraflame blue, with red, white, and black stripes on sides, 40th Anniversary deco on billboard and rides on classic Redline wheels.
