It’s one of the most iconic and nostalgic castings in the Hot Wheels flock, and one of designer Larry Wood’s most celebrated creations. Hot Wheels is referring, of course, to the Hot Bird, which debuted in the 1978 line at the height of the T/A’s popularity.
For our Hot Wheels 40th anniversary, HWC paid tribute to this favorite in the HWC Series Seven Neo-Classics line, featuring an opening hood for the first time with this release! Besides the new opening hood, this edition features a Spectraflame light brown finish with red striping deco. Long-awaited as an HWC release, this Hot Bird is perched on Neo-Classics Redline wheels and a full-metal, chrome-plated chassis.
