James Bond Aston Martin DB4

Corgi Toys produced the Aston Martin DB4 in 1960. It was the first model ever with an opening hood and detailed engine. In 1965 the complete toy world changed: Corgi brought the greatest seller of all times to the shops: the Aston Martin James Bond DB5. It is said it came in gold because in silver it looked unpainted. The model had three gadgets: front retractable bumpers and guns, rear bullet proof shield and opening roof to launch the bandit. The DB4 engine however dissappeared. I did not really agree on that.......so here the Aston in the part DB4, part DB5 version, in silver. It has all the gadgets, but also diamond headlights and opening hood and detailed engine! Further the plastic suspension, often broken, was replaced by stainless steel.
