Käthe Kruse Doll No. 1

This early Käthe Kruse doll is unusual because of the fabric used in the body.  It's not the usual pink colored muslin, but a brownish, less dense fabric. The body is of the wide hip type and the hands have separately sewn on thumbs. She is dressed in her original rompers and petticoat with lace, but the antique velvet cap and the blue apron are nor original to her.
