Lady Penelope's FAB 1

Alternative Name: FAB 1 Rolls-Royce (FAB1)

This model was a very popular model for Dinky Toys, finally making just over Two Million examples. The model was introduced onto the UK retail market during December 1966, and stayed in full production until it was deleted from the range in 1976, so there must have been some casting changes in that long production period. I have studied and researched this model and have found Fourteen distinct versions so far and have compiled a book listing all those versions with the different casting details, wheel types, baseplate designs and box designs etc.

Kevin Bailey, September, 2015.

Based on a Rolls-Royce - also called FAB1

The model is cataloged as 100, but this is shown on the base as a 'SALES No.100'. It is shown in French catalogs as model 100L, the letter 'L' denoting the model has come from Liverpool as an import to France.
