Subvariant title: Version 2
10 Variants

This version of the R 700 was produced for the British market in 1937 in the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) livery. This locomotive features a similar paint scheme to the first version of the R 700 LNER but the locootive frame is painted in a bright orange color. The tender also features a silver claw coupler which was common for locomotoives produced in 1937. The tender is also the version used for the SLR 700 LNER in that is has a gold stripe instead of a red stripe.  Although this locomotive was produced for the British market, some were sold domestically within Germany. The box was stamped "grun" instead of "LNER" and the tender may not have the gold "LNER" stamping.
