Model Trains (Locomotives)

Steam Locomotive With Tender Version 1

10 Variants

The R 700 locomotive was introduced in 1935 as the first 00/H0 steam model locomotive by Marklin. In this first year only the steam R 700 and electric RS 700 locomotives were produced. The first version features a frame with a thin curved recess for the two brush holders on the locomotive's left side. In years following this frame was reinforced to keep the frame thickness consistent over the brush holders. The first version tender also has covered axle bearings whereas subsequent years have open axle bearings. This version features the black claw coupler Type 1.1 on the tender.
