The Model 616 was Mazda's intermediate sized car and was sold in the US from 1971 to 1978. It was sold as the RX-2 rotary, but this had a more conventional 88hp 1600cc piston engine. To the best of my knowledge, the cover of this brochure has not faded or discolored. My guess is that the graphics department was enamored with Frank Zappa's 'Hot Rats' album.
