Plymouth Fury

The Plymouth Fury is model of automobile that was produced by Plymouth, which started from 1956 as a sub-series of the concurrent Plymouth Belvedere for 1956, then from 1957 to 1958, again, as a sub-series of the concurrent Plymouth Belvedere for 1957 to 1958, then became its own series (just one rung above the concurrent Plymouth Belvedere for 1959, which, during generations for later on, was called Plymouth Satellite by the late 1960s on through to 1974 when it was succeeded by the mid-size Plymouth Fury for 1975 to 1978) from 1959 and from 1960 to 1961 as a full-size car, then, as a mid-size car, from 1962 to 1964, then, back as a full-size car, from 1965 to 1968, then from 1969 to 1973 and to 1974, then, once again (as the concurrent Plymouth Gran Fury "spun off" as a full-size car for 1975 to 1977), back as a mid-size car, from 1975 to 1978.

It was available with different engine/transmissioncombinations throughout the years. Ranging from a 225 cubic inch inline (commonly called 'slant 6') six cylinder up to a 440 cubic inch V-8 engine. The 426 'Chrysler Hemi' engine was included in the options. It was quite commonly used in fleets such as police & taxi use.
