Ramblin' Wrecker

Subvariant title: 2009 Larry Wood 40 Years of Design
5 Variants

One of Hot Wheels designer Larry Wood's favorite stories: When the Ramblin' Wrecker was first released, his home phone number appeared on the sides. As a result, on Christmas morning, he received a call from a kid in another state! Now this casting has been retooled and joins the HWC Series Eight Larry Wood 40 Years of Design Series.

Originally used from 1975 to 1983 and now retooled, this edition of the Ramblin' Wrecker features a blue plastic tow bar and bed — just like the original release, but with additional detail: the tools in the bed are silver hot-stamped. Also true to the first appearance, this edition features a white enamel finish with blue and yellow deco "Larry's 24 HR TOWING" on the sides and riding on Neo-Classics Redlines wheels with bent axle suspension.
