Super Van was first featured in the 1975 Flying Colors series. It was first issued with two different tampos on each side. Originally, Super Van was cast with the option of not having any side markers, but all later castings have side markers. The glass color changed throughout the life of the casting. In 2003, this popular casting was re-tooled as the '70s Van to be in the HotWheelsCollectors.com Series 2. Hot Wheels has since re-obtained the rights to the name Super Van, so the new casting features the original name. Thought to be based on a Dodge van but is not official.
This version was issued for the 8th Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals in Chicago, IL on April 23-27, 2008. Finished in black and white, with orange and yellow stripes, a gray HW logo on sides and rides on white line Real Rider Larry Wood 5-Spoke wheels.
