This model was constructed of hard plastic and most resembles a 1948 Packard. It was discontinued after an intial appearance in 1949 but returned for one year in 1952. Three variations are known, green, orange or yellow, each with black fenders.
This toy appeared in the #326 Taxi Cab and #327 Auto sets.
A similar model was produced as the #305 Fire Chief, and also appeared in the #501 and #521 Car Transporter sets sans Taxi badging. The last version being a softer plastic, similar in feel to a shampoo bottle.
