Marklin SK 851/4 set produced in 1946 shipped from Hanau, Germany APO 757 (Army Post Office) to Palo Alto, California. This incredible Marklin train set was likely purchased in a PX (Postal Exchange) shop in Germany on a US Army base. The set was then sent back to the officer’s family in California. Features four wonderful 350 series cars, all with original boxes, stamped from 1946. All trucks, roof vents, and wheels present — cars are in excellent condition. 6-Splint SK 800 locomotive with bruniert (Burnished) tender and locomotive housing all in very good condition, runs and reverses well retaining the original box! Overall an incredible rarity, seldom seen with the original wooden crate it was shipped in!
