Best known for their cast iron toys. Brothers E H and Charles Morgan started the company to make machine parts in 1869, in Freeport, IL USA. In 1891, the name was changed to Arcade Manufacturing Company and with a new factory, they edxpanded into savings banks, trains, doll accessories, toys and other goods. Their famous Yellow Cab came out in 1920 Bbased on those in Chicago. By 1943, they were out of business due to slumping sales and wartime restrictions. (Collecting Toys, Aug 1994)
