Something Missing?

Andrei Iliev from Bulgaria had collected 1/43rd scale Saab models for over 20 years before he founded his company Griffin Models in 2011 with the intention to produce 1/43rd scale handbuilt models of Saab cars which hadn't been modelled by other manufacturers. His first models, special versions of the Saab 900, are made of white metal, more recent releases are made of resin. In addition to various Saab cars, including sporty versions of Saab 96 and 900, a motorhome, a Formula Junior racing car and the very rare second-generation 9-5 as saloon and estate car, the range also includes a 1972 Volvo VESC safety concept car and a Toyota Tacoma as run in the 1998 Pikes Peak hill climb race. The models are available ready-made and in kit form, but the ready-made models are only made in very limited quantities, usually 15 to 30 items per issue.
