The 1954 Buick Skylark was a limited production luxury convertible based on the model 66C Century convertible and powered by Buick's 322 ci Nailhead V8 engine paired with an automatic two-speed Dynaflow transmission.
The '54 Skylark's styling was unique to the Buick line and featured a semi-barrel shaped trunk lid, tail lights integrated with large chromed tail fins, and wheel cutouts that could be painted by the factory in a contrasting color to the body. The hood ornament was also unique, adopted the following year across the Buick product line.
