Driven to victory on the 1955 Mille Miglia by Stirling Moss with journalist Denis Jenkinson as co-driver/navigator. Jenkinson devised an ingenius roller map system which allowed him to know what was ahead and communicate to Moss through a series of rudimentary hand gestures to speed up, slow down, the type of curve ahead, etc. Despite hitting a bridge parapet at one point, the duo finished the 1,000 mile race in record time, well ahead of their competition. It was an epic win for Moss and Mercedes
