The FORD F-350 was the heavy duty 1 ton model & as such was quite frequntly ordered as a chassis/cab (no bed). It could be ordered in a number of ways, 2 doors or 4, 2 wheel drive or four wheel drive, single rear wheels or dual. It could have any number of truck bodies mounted to the chassis cab; including, but not limited to: ambulance, fire truck, flatbed, maintianence body, stake bed, or wrecker. Some were homemade bodies, some were dealer installed, some were customer installed, some the customer took it to a third shop (example, a local shop that sold/installed wrecker bodies).
