The Velvet Undergound & Nico is the debut album of The Velvet Underground with the vocalist Nico from 1967.  It was a commercial failure when released, but has since become an influential rock album and collectible.

The cover art was a print of a banana by the artist Andy Warhol.  The early copies of the album had the banana as a peelable sticker that revealed a nude-colored banana underneath.

Most of the albums released now do not feature this sticker, and the originals with the sticker are now valuable collector's items.
