1/15 Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt Series
During the 28th Hot Wheels Collectors Convention a Treasure Hunt BBQ Memorial was held to honor the memory of Gary Ritchie, AKA Du Down Under, the #1 Wanker from Austraila. Du had a passion for collecting diecast, more specifically old Mercury's. Du also had a passion for BBQ's and combined and shared this passion on the Hot Wheels Collectors website by BBQing Treasure Hunts, which created a large amount of controversy in the Hot Wheel and Die-Cast collecting community.
Sadly, Du passed away on 18 July 2012 just shy of 60 years old. This was the second BBQ we attended in DU's memory and I am sure that if he were still here among the living the Treasure Hunt BBQing and controversy would be in full force, and may have morphed into some of the Highly sought after HWC / RLC Cars meeting their demise in the BBQ pit.
