The Punisher (Francis "Frank" Castle, born Castiglione) is a fictional antihero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer Gerry Conway and artists John Romita Sr. and Ross Andru. The Punisher made his first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #129 (cover-dated February 1974).The character is depicted as an Italian-American vigilante who employs murder, kidnapping, extortion, coercion, threats of violence, and torture in his campaign against crime. Driven by the deaths of his wife and two children, who were killed by the mob for witnessing a killing in New York City's Central Park, the Punisher wages a one-man war on crime using various weapons. His family's killers were the first to be slain. One side of the chip features the Ultimate Nullifier, generally regarded as the Marvel Universe's most destructive weapon. In fact, it's a long-running plot that it's the only weapon or device in the universe that strikes fear into Galactus. Suffice to say, The Punisher could do some major damage with it, and damage he sure did. Reverse shows a large guitar with Hard Rock Hotel Logo.
