Part of a global series of guitar clones promoting a partnership between soccer (football) player Lionel Messi and Hard Rock, which kicked off with the brand's 50th anniversary in June 2021.
Hard Rock merchandise originated in the early 1970s, when the first cafe in London sponsored a local soccer team and made uniform shirts with the Hard Rock Cafe logo. Extra shirts were given to customers, creating such demand that more shirts were made and sold.
Each pin in the series is a black vertical guitar with a light purple lion head at top of body. Lion is a profile facing right. Below the lion, in light purple letters, is Messi's last name from his personal logo. Below his name is his uniform number (10) in white numerals, outlined in light purple. Inside the zero in the uniform number is a black silhouette of Messi, facing forward with arms raised in celebration. Guitar head and neck are black. At top of neck, in purple and black, is a Hard Rock 50th anniversary logo. Location name Vienna is at bottom of logo in white.
Back of pin says "Limited Edition" and does not state quantity.
