Brumm packaging dates this car as a 1932 but is likely incorrect. Records do not show any 4.5 or Blower Bentleys that ran any significant races with the #8 except for the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hour.
Presumably, this is chassis HR3976, which ran that race. It did not finish. It ran the 1932 and 1933 races as #5 and also did not finish. According to published records, it ran seven races from 1930 to 1933 and did not finish any of them. This was a car that you could depend upon.
