Originally the Breakaway Bucket was released one time, in one color. The front end was clearly inspired by the first generation Pontiac Grand Am. Ironically, Pontiac actually cobbled together one prototype of their own coupe utility a few years later by putting a second generation Grand Am front end on a fifth generation Chevrolet El Camino. It never entered production, but it strongly resembled Breakaway Bucket, especially before it had the updated grill (introduced on the Grand Am in 1980) installed.
In 2011 a retooled version was released and it shows itself beautifully here in the Series 10 Neo-Classics Series in Spectraflame Blue and riding on the HW classic redline wheels. This one will surely be on your collection's "bucket" list!
