Candombe Drummers

3 musicians with white masks wearing green shirts, orange pants, yellow vests with blue trim, and yellow hats. Each one is playing a tall barrel-shaped drum carried on an orange strap. "Montevideo" is spelled out in orange, yellow, green, and blue letters at the top, and the Hard Rock logo is centered at the bottom of the pin. Candombe is a style of drumming and dance usually played in January/February during Carnival. The candombe rhythm is created by three drums: tambor piano, tambor chico and tambor repique. It is an important aspect of the culture of Uruguay and was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of humanity.
