In Washington state, Lord Chapel bursts forth from Mount St. Helens in a volcanic explosion. He goes to a nearby town, surrounds it with a wall of flame, and prepares to conquer the world. Meanwhile, Chapel and Spawn face off on a Brooklyn rooftop. They argue and fight, tumbling into a nearby alley. Cogliostro appears and interrupts their battle, informing them of the imminent threat posed by Lord Chapel. While Cogliostro is too old to stop him, the two of them can. Hearing that, Chapel and Spawn agree to work together.
