Chro58 Talbot-Lago T26 Record Cabriolet Saoutchik 1948 sn100272

Sold new to Salah Orabi and Princess Nevine Abbas Halim of Egypt, 100272 Talbot Lago T26 Record belongs to the collection of Jacques Baillon since 1952.

This particularly rare car that was believed lost was sold at a record price at the Artcurial Retromobile 2015 sale.

She is one of 208 copies T26 Record built in 1948 and is one of the rare cases where a chassis was ever sent to a famous bodybuilder to receive exclusive bodywork.

Saoutchik realized a masterpiece: the pointed hood and grille shaped shark nose, a rounded front fender with integrated headlights and anti fog lights, rear wings graceful fully bodied, and finally the long and sloping rear.

100272 was the subject of considerable promotion at the time, as in the Paris Salon of October 1948 where many French newspapers contained pictures of this amazing car.

An exceptional cabriolet spectacular lines, elegant automatic opening doors button, fully retractable roof that was signed by Saoutchik, massive chrome patterns and its wide grille, form a stunning whole.
