This unique history of New England hot-rodding in the 1950s was written by the most amazing person I have ever met, A.B. Shuman, and his brother Bernie. A.B. was a hot-rodder, a Navy pilot, editor of Hot Rod magazine, and head of public relations for Mercedes-Benz of North America. Not only that but he was also a funny, kind, modest, smart, and honest person--and his last car was a '27 bucket-T Roadster. Profusely illustrated with period black-and-white photos, mostly taken with the finest Kodak Brownies and Verichrome Pan film, the book denotes the East Coast people, cars, and events that are too often forgotten by West Coasters.
