Part of the worldwide Core City Icon Series. Each pin is a large guitar body with silver base metal, a prominent city name and one or more iconic local images. Design is 3D pin on pin, with Hard Rock Cafe logo as top layer and all other elements as bottom layer.
The very bright and colourful Gran Canaria pin features a silhouetted representation of the iconic Maspalomas lighthouse amidst roaring, towering, foaming blue surf, set between two palm trees, with a foreground consisting of a scene on a pale yellow (beach?) background with typical Canarian flora comprising two deep pink Hibiscus plants (one at either side) at the bottom of the pin, some mainly yellow Bird of Paradise plants beyond these, and a red and white surfboard set across almost the full width of the pin between these plants. Gran Canaria is in red script, on a bright mid-yellow background, on the top part of the pin.
The bottom third of pin has an elegant silver border, like that of an antique mirror, with a large flourish at bottom center.
Raised Hard Rock Cafe logo at center of pin has no city name.
