41 Variants  | 1 Prototype  | 1 Custom
Back in 1967, car designer Harry Bentley Bradley had just been hired at Mattel to help create a line of toy die-cast cars. Driving to work each day in a modified Chevrolet El Camino, Bradley had only a vague idea of what CEO Elliot Handler wanted these cars too look like – until Handler pointed to Bradley’s own ride! The Custom Fleetside was born, and the look and feel of Hot Wheels cars were defined.
The HWC Real Riders Custom Fleetside is shrouded in deep glossy black and features a fusion-graphic flame deco from a Wayne Scott design. The tonneau cover actually opens! A chrome-plated chassis and black interior round out the look of this car made for cruisin’. Retooled and equipped with Real Riders five-spoke wheels, this makes a perfect flagship car for any collection.
