The Custom Mustang is a Hot Wheels casting designed by Harry Bradley, and was based on the the 1967 Ford Mustang. The Custom Mustang debuted in the 1968 Basic Car line as part of the Original 16 castings.
The original tool was only used in the 1968 mainline and was never used again. The Custom Mustang tool was recreated in 1994 for the Vintage Series II. This same retool was used for this version.
The Custum Mustang was chosen as the Red Line Club club car for 2003 members, and was released with three different color stripes: red, blue and black.
This is the second version - Chrome with blue stripes - issued to the second group of 6,000 members to renew or join for 2003.
