The Custom Mustang is a Hot Wheels casting designed by Harry Bradley, and was based on the the 1967 Ford Mustang. The Custom Mustang debuted in the 1968 Basic Car line as part of the Original 16 castings. The original tool was only used in the 1968 mainline and was never used again. The Custom Mustang tool was recreated in 1994 for the Vintage Series II.
The casting was retooled once again for HWC, featuring Spectraflame gold paint, original Redline era Ne-Classic wheels, bent-axle suspension, and a metal engine and chassis — a must have.
