The Ferengi DaiMon Bok sought revenge against Picard, who had defeated his son at the Battle of Maxia. Bok tried to discredit Picard, but his plan was revealed, and he was stripped of his DaiMon title for his part in the unprofitable venture. Later, Bok tried coercion by threatening the life of a boy genetically altered to appear to be Picard's son.
