Roman Provincial, Divus Augustus (died 14 CE) under Tiberius (14 - 37 CE) Bronze Ae unit, Corinth mint

  • Obverse:  L ARRIO PEREGRINO IIVIR / Radiate head of Divus Augustus facing left
  • Reverse: L FVRIO LABEONE (or LABEONE or LABEO) IIVIR / Hexastyle temple with architrave inscribed GENT IVLI and COR in exergue

Other information:

  • Issued under Lucius Arrius Peregrinus and Lucius Furius Labeo, duovirii 
  • The reverse of this coin depicts the Temple of Octavia. It was dedicated in 25 CE.  Parts of the foundation and a few pillars of the temple remain and can be seen in the ruins of ancient Corinth.
