A renowned cyberneticist and creator of the android Data, Soong also built several other positronic androids during and after living in the colony at Omicron Theta. Soong survived that colony's destruction and later remotely controlled and compelled his creations to him, when he believed he was dying. He intended to give Data an emotion chip. but it was intercepted by Lore.
