Lieutenant Selar, a Vulcan physician, served on the medical staff of the U.S.S. Enterprise for several years. On stardate 42437, in Chief Medical Officer Pulaski's absence, Dr. Selar led the medical response team that answered a distress call on Gravesworld. Selar examined and diagnosed Dr. Ira Graves shortly before his death from Darnay's disease.
