Inspirations for this pin are Halloween, the 1939 classic film "The Wizard of Oz," and the local double meaning of the name "Emerald City." Most famously, Emerald City refers to the movie, specifically as the home of the wizard. The film's iconic villain, the Wicked Witch of the West, has green skin and a crystal ball. Emerald City is also Seattle's nickname.
