Freddie for a Day Guitar Pick (Clone)

Charity guitar pick clone featuring Freddie Mercury (1946-1991), lead singer of the rock band Queen, who died of complications from AIDS. Pub promotes the Freddie for a day initiative an HIV and AIDS fundraising campaign that encourages people to dress up as Mercury on his birthday, September 5th. Hard Rock hosted events in 2018 at Edinburgh and other locations worldwide. Pin background is a dark red guitar pick with a thin white border. Right side of the pin is a profile image of Mercury, facing right. From his final tour with Queen in 1986, he is wearing his iconic yellow jacket, white trousers with dark red vertical strips, and white shoes with black diagonal strips. Mercury is shown in one of his famous poses lunging forward with knees bent, back arched, head thrown back, eyes closed. In his right hand is a black microphone. Hard Rock Cafe logo with "EDINBURGH" below it is at top left of guitar pick, all in white. Below logo is a Mercury replica signature in white.

Back of Pin says "Limited Edition 150." Reverse has two tacks and guitar pick shaped securely hologram.

Sold on a dark grey backing card with white stars at the top and a conical image of a light grey spotlight at centre. At bottom of card is the name "Freddie" in thin yellow capital letters. Back of card says 10% of sales will benefit the Mercury Phoenix Trust, founded by Queen and it's manager to fight the battle against HIV and AIDS.
