Freddie for a Week Guitar Pick (Clone)

Charity guitar pick clone featuring Freddie Mercury (1946-1991), lead singer of the rock band Queen, who died of complications from AIDS.

Pin promotes the Freddie for a Week initiative, an HIV and AIDS fundraising campaign that encourages people to dress up as Mercury during the week of his birthday, September 5. Hard Rock hosted Freddie events in 2019 at many locations worldwide.

Mercury is shown in one of his famous poses, looking downward, right fist high over his head. From his final tour with Queen in 1986, he is wearing his iconic yellow jacket, a white tank top, and white trousers with dark red and yellow vertical stripes. In his left hand is a black microphone. Sold on a yellow backing card with embossed yellow lettering. Back of card says 10% of sales will benefit the Mercury Phoenix Trust, founded by Queen and its manager to fight the battle against HIV and AIDS.
