As the Great War dug itself deeper into the land, the men who fought it devised better ways to fight and stay alive. German Stosstruppen 'Trench Raiders' were trained to survive the horrors of trench warfare and were well armed for the task. Armored breastplates were issued for the initial assault across no mans land in an effort to protect as many men as possible. Once on the enemy, the armor could be dumped, and each man would go to work with grenades, pistols, clubs, and knives; whatever got the job done! Our 'Trench Raider' figure represents one of these young, well trained, and highly motivated storm troopers.
