Grell is a company making promotional items for other firms. One of these items was a series of "Ostalgie" cars which were given away by some breweries in Germany with a crate of beer. The Sternquell and Braustolz series consisted of about 30 different vehicles which were the mostly the same in between but with different colours. Assorted vehicles found their way as promotionals to other breweries too, but the Braustolz and Sternquell series were the biggest. Actual manufacturer was High Speed though most vehicles show Grell on the baseplate/chassis. A much smaller series of classic "West" cars was made as well. The scale model here shows an IFA (Industrieverband Fahrzeugbau) or AWZ (Automobilwerk Zwickau) P70. Actual manufacturer was the ex-Horch factory in Zwickau, which fell under the control of IFA. The P70 was also called Zwickau after the town it was made in. The P70 would lead to the Trabant P601, the most produced vehicle of the former German Democratic Republic.
