A Fiji Class Light Cruiser, she was built by Alex Stephen, Govan being launched on the 18th August 1939. In May 1941 as part of the 2nd Cruiser Squadron she was involved in the hunt for the Bismarck. After the second world war she was re-fitted and served in the American and West Indies Station, 8th Cruiser Squadron. During the Korean War it played its part with its involvement in the Inchon landings. The Oxford Diecast Military HMS Kenya made of Diecast Metal/Mazak is Number MIL014 in the range.
