Released in 1959 in light blue with a red grille. It had no suspension, interior or cargo bed cover. The 1965 upgrade (470) was available in medium blue, avocado and a scarcer mustard, these later editions having suspension, red or lemon interiors and a grey plastic cover.
It was also used as a base vehicle for a conveyor unit and a hydraulic tower unit. An odd casting that was quite unlike all other Corgi models with its raised door outlines and totally different base style.
Jeep Forward Control (cab over engine) trucks were sold in the US from 1956–1965. The design was licensed to other countries and continued to be produced until at least 1999.
