Kid Kazoom, formerly Kid Shine, was a Crystal Superthing in Series 2, later an Ultra Rare in Series 4 and also serves as the deuteragonist of the Superthings Franchise. His rival is Kid Fury, who resembles the Blue Kazoom, and he resembles the Blue Kazoom. As Kid Shine his rival is The Bristler, a toothbrush.
He is the main protagonist of Series 4, and in Series 5 he is seen fighting Kid Fury in the Episodes, giving him a new rival. In the Secret Spies Series, he gets a vehicle called Kazoom Racer. He later reappears in Guardians of Kazoom and gets a Kazoom Kid called Kazoom Power and a Superbot with the same name. He is then a minor protagonist in Rescue Force and Neon Power.
In the first episodes of the Superthings Cartoon Series, Kid Shine served as a minor character in the franchise, his first major appearance being in Episode 11, titled The Kazoom Mine. In this Episode, Enigma tells him to go to the jungle, where he will find the villians and he sees them there transporting Kazoom crystals to a Clank Corporation warehouse. He also sees Professor K. there, and he realises that he is a villian, which shocks him. He sneaks into a security room to warn central about the activities, but is spotted by Lord Twister, Dogfurt and Bad Bat via security camera. They chase him to a mineshaft and then attack him, making him fall down. He is later found by Enigma and taken to his house. Enigma experiments on him throughout Series 3, finally transforming him into Kid Kazoom in Episode 24.
In his Kid Shine character infobox, his power is labelled as 'Mental Mint' meaning that he can shoot minty attacks and will make rivals lose their smiles. In his Kid Kazoom character infobox, his power is labelled as 'Kazoom Blaster' meaning that he can blast enemies with a Kazoom Blaster (although in the Episodes he calls it Kazoom Power). It also states that he doesn't yet master all his powers but has endless strength.
Kid Kazoom's personality is often seen as nervous, and often scared. He also has a very strong Fixed Mindset, as when he trains, he often says that he can't do it and suggests giving up.
As Kid Shine, he is blue, and has toothpaste squirting out of the top of his head. His cape is red, and he has a yellow mask. As Kid Kazoom, he is blue. and he has an orange mask with a lightning bolt on it. He also has a yellow cape. In the Secret Spies Series and beyond, he is seen with some additional armour, and he, his Kazoom Kid Kazoom Power and their Superbot get golden armour.
