By opening the valve, children could compress the figure into a crumpled state; closing the valve would keep him compacted. Reopening it allowed Krusher to gradually return to his original form, simulating a "growing" effect. Despite its innovative design and detailed reptilian appearance, Krusher faced stiff competition from the burgeoning popularity of Star Wars action figures at the time, leading to modest initial sales. Today, however, Krusher has become a sought-after collector's item. The figure exhibits handling wear, including paint chipping on the tow claws, right eye, and right hand, along with light scratching and scuffing.
