Kyle Riker, father of William T. Riker, worked as a civilian strategic adviser to Starfleet. He visited the U.S.S. Enterprise when his son was offered the command of the U.S.S. Aries, to brief him on its status and current mission. Kyle also had a short-lived romantic relationship with Katherine Pulaski. Riker enjoyed playing Anbo-Jyutsu with his son.
