Second annual guitar pin promoting the partnership between Hard Rock and soccer (football) player Lionel Messi.
Hard Rock merchandise originated in the early 1970s, when the first cafe in London sponsored a local soccer team and made uniform tee shirts with the Hard Rock Cafe logo. Extra tee shirts were given to customers, creating such demand that more tee shirts were made and sold.
Pin resembles the custom black and white vertical guitar that Hard Rock gave to Messi at the start of the partnership. Guitar head is black. Neck is brown. On left side of guitar body, in black and blue letters, is Messi's last name from his personal logo. On guitar head is his uniform number (10) in white numerals. At top of neck is a Hard Rock logo, all in silver with the location 'London' given under the logo. At left is a black guitar strap that runs from headstock to body. At center of strap, in white capital letters, are the words "Live Greatness."
