Remmick was an officer in the Inspector General's office when he first visited the U.S.S. Enterprise with Admiral Quinn. Remmick was transferred to Starfleet Command Headquarters, where he acted as host to the leader of a neural parasite colony attempting to take over the Federation. When the parasite was revealed, it was destroyed under intense phaser fire, killing Remmick.
